Representation without structural reckoning is not liberation, it’s camouflage.

Until the roots of white supremacy are dislodged from our institutions and our imaginations, Black freedom will remain symbolic, not sovereign.

If the system still defines our worth by how well we serve it, can we ever truly call ourselves free?

The short and sure answer is, no. I fear we will someday eradicate the institutional contamination but the inside work, the "imagination" component will remain. This is where the real fight must take place in my view.

Absolutely. Systems can be dismantled, but if the psyche remains colonized, the cycle just mutates. The deepest work isn’t only structural, it’s spiritual, imaginal, and relentless.
